Celebrating Consecrated Life
The Catholic Church celebrates the World Day for Consecrated Life every year on February 2nd, the feast of the Presentation of the Lord. Pope Francis said the mission of consecrated men and women is enriched by the unique charisms of their communities, in addition to the fundamental gift they have each received.
Nano Nagle’s charism was her fidelity to searching for union with God in contemplation. She chose education as a way of lifting the poor out of poverty. She had a compassionate love for anyone in need.
As Presentation Family, we value time for stillness, for personal prayer and prayer together. We try to take special care of the most vulnerable people and our planet earth. We believe as Nano did that education can bring about change. We are open and welcoming to all people and live with an open and generous heart.
Ø “By degrees with the assistance of God, we may do a great deal.”
Nano Nagle (Letter VI)
Ø “If I could be of any service in saving souls in any part of the globe,
I would willingly do all in my power.” Nano Nagle (Letter I)
